Q&A With Michael “MJ The Terrible” Johnson Owner & Founder of Masters of Money, LLC.:
Question #1: What is the best way to make a decision? Ronald Morris Sarasota, FL
Answer: The best answer to almost any question is, it depends, because it is nearly impossible to consider all of the variables, in all situations. That said, I learned from a mentor of mine, that in order to make the best decisions, you should look to “The 6 Simple Serving Men”. “The 6 Simple Serving Men” are who, what, where, why, when, and how. If you know the answers to those 6 things, then you can make a fully informed/wise decision.
Question #2. I need your help MJT. I created a product I ended up having to put all of my money into to make. Do you have any ideas on how I could market my product for free or almost free? My ad budget is next to nothing. Bryan Harrison San Francisco, CA
Answer: Well as a matter of fact, I do.
Here are some free/almost free websites/ideas, to help you get the word out about your product:
1. https://www.prlog.org (Free press release distributions)
2. https://www.helpareporter.com (Allows you to write articles that reporters will see and often times use when they need stories.)
3. Join all of the free chat rooms, ezines, digital newsletters, and associations, where your potential customers are, so that you can reach out to them.
Question #3: Got a degree MJ THE TERRIBLE? Sean Simmons Oakland, CA
Answer: I do, thanks in large part to my Mom, who encouraged/forced me to get a degree. I have a Marketing Management Degree from the University of Akron, in Ohio. I graduated in 2004.
Question #4: I would like to learn how to make my own Masters of Money type of company. How can I start learning about how to do that? Ray Snead Spokane, WA
Answer: I would start by learning a little more about the industry first. Here are two good places to start:
1. Direct Marketing News – https://www.dmnews.com/
2. Direct Response Marketing Alliance – https://www.responsemagazine.com/
Question #5: Do you think every problem in the world can be solved? Michelle Collins Memphis, TN
Answer: The guy on the right in the photo on this post, Dan Denefe, used to like to say- “With enough time and money, any problem can be solved.” In all seriousness, I believe that just about anything is possible. There are a lot of brilliant, creative, visionary problem solvers out there. I think anyone with children, certainly hopes the world can solve more of its problems, so our children can grow up in a safer, cleaner world.
Question #6: I am a proud Asian American. Do you know a lot Asian? Thank you Mr Johnson helping my daughter Cam launching her company. She doing good now. Mai Fong Los Angeles, CA
Answer: I do my best to try to be friends/friendly with everybody. I think people are interesting. We are all unique in one way or another. Not one of us is exactly the same in all ways, as someone else on this planet, so that gives us all something to talk about with every person we meet.
Your daughter Cam had a great business idea. All I/we did was help get the word out about the great things your daughters company was doing. I am happy she is doing well. You raised a great daughter. She is a smart, honest, and capable business owner.
